De’Ja is a talented visual artist and writer based in Atlanta, Ga.

De’Ja is known for her love for nostalgic media and storytelling. She is a visual artist who often uses her upbringing, present life experiences, and curiosity as her muse. You can read her enduring visual essays on family, social justice, and deep inner reflections.

Using diverse mediums, De’Ja captures the essence of nostalgia through film cameras, Super 8, polaroids, and VHS camcorders. Her unique eye has earned recognition in both online and in-gallery exhibitions in Atlanta and across the U.S.

She is currently included in the esteemed art book, "ART IN THE TIME OF CORONA | Vol. 2," a prestigious publication permanently housed in the catalog at the LACMA Balch Art Research Library.

She was recently a featured artist in the 2024 group exhibition “30 Summers” at Atlanta Contemporary, where she exhibited her first experimental film, “The Lake, My Love,” a raw VHS tape.

She attended her first Artist in Residence program in November of 2024 at the Hambidge Center of Creative Arts and Sciences, where she completed her most current avant-grade experimental films, “Seasons of Self” and “Meditations: A Short Film Series.
